Why VEYRA
Built around merit, not relationships
Most procurement tools digitise the process. VEYRA changes who can see what, who must approve, and what is recorded, so a decision can be defended afterwards.
The problem
How buying is usually done
Quotes come from familiar suppliers, evaluators know who is bidding, approvals follow the decision, and the record is rebuilt when an auditor asks.
Seven differences
What VEYRA does differently
Each difference links to the page that shows it. Status labels say what is in use today.
Implemented
Merit before relationships
Usually: Evaluators see supplier names while scoring, so familiarity can shape the result.
VEYRA: Supplier identity can be hidden during evaluation and revealed only on an authorised, recorded step.
Blind Buyer Protection →Pilot
A balanced quote pool by policy
Usually: Invitations go to whoever the buyer already knows.
VEYRA: Your policy can set the mix (for example 3 Tier 1, 3 small, 3 Indigenous businesses) and the pool composition is recorded for each request.
Like-for-like quoting →Implemented
Like-for-like comparison
Usually: Quotes arrive in different formats and are compared by hand.
VEYRA: Quotes are captured against one requirement so differences in price and scope are visible side by side.
Like-for-like quoting →Implemented
Authority before commitment
Usually: Approvals happen by email, after the fact.
VEYRA: Awards follow your approval limits, with countersignatures recorded before award.
Approval engine →Implemented
Evidence you can test
Usually: The record is rebuilt from emails and spreadsheets when someone asks.
VEYRA: Audit rows are written by the database at the moment of change and cannot be edited by user accounts.
How the audit system works →Implemented
No handling of purchase payments
Usually: Some platforms sit in the payment flow.
VEYRA: VEYRA does not handle purchase payments. Fees follow the final order value; a cancelled order attracts no fee.
Fees explained →Pilot
A virtual warehouse across your supply chain
Usually: Stock is bought and held in your own yard just in case, or staff spend hours ringing suppliers and waiting on emailed quotes when a part is needed.
VEYRA: Search a part number or item once and see supplier stock on hand, lead time and like-for-like price across approved suppliers in minutes — without holding the stock yourself.
Catalogue intelligence →Side by side

Plain limits
What VEYRA does not claim
- Controls reduce exposure to relationship bias. They do not eliminate it.
- No savings are guaranteed.
- No paying customers, certifications or government adoption are claimed. VEYRA is a pilot platform and demonstration data is labelled.
- Other platforms may offer some of these features. This page compares typical approaches, not named companies.
